BELLE FOURCHE | This Northern Hills community has spent the past year cleaning up homesites and constructing new residences, according to Belle Fourche Development Corp. Executive Director Hollie Stalder.
The projects not only result in new residences, but support workforce development and housing in the community, Stalder said.
“Thanks to the career and technical program at the Belle Fourche high school, students learn a much-needed trade in our region that also contributes to filling the housing need in our community,” she said.
The Development Corporation’s board of directors and housing committee members volunteer on the clean-up of lots as a way to give back to the community they love.
“We know how important it is to have clean, safe housing for young families to work and live in our community,” Stalder said.
To date, the Belle Fourche Development Corp. has helped provide seven new homes in the community.
