SEDC Names New Marketing & Administrative Coordinator

The Spearfish Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is pleased to announce Cayley Schmitt joined the organization April 1 as its new Marketing and Administrative Coordinator. Schmitt will be responsible for administering office operations and supporting SEDC’s marketing strategy and implementation.

Schmitt will graduate from Black Hills State University (BHSU) in May with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Specializing in Economics & Finance and a minor in Political Science. She is currently President of the BHSU Jacket Investment Club, a Vice President for the BHSU Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, and a former member of the BHSU triathlon team.

Schmitt joins Kory Menken, Executive Director of SEDC, and Larry Klarenbeek, SEDC Special Projects Coordinator. “We are elated to welcome Cayley to the SEDC team,” said Menken. “Her enthusiasm, experiences and skill set will contribute greatly to our continued success. We look forward to this next chapter in SEDC’s ongoing evolution as a first-rate economic development organization.”
