On Jan. 18, 67 Belle Fourche residents embarked on a community development journey. The first step was a day-and-a-half-long session that spurred thoughts for the vision of Belle Fourche’s future. The day’s events challenged thoughts, brought out hopes and fears, and took participants through the first steps of building the foundation for the community’s future by engaging more people from all walks of life from the town and surrounding area. The goal is to build relationships and trust to enable problem solving, and promote the engagement and align partners to be at the table as equals. The program will be ongoing over the next two years.
