Education

Quality Education from K to PhD

Elementary and secondary education in the Rushmore Region is governed by 15 local school boards, a system that gives each community the autonomy to set the course for their children's education. Funding for schools is supplemented by a State Aid Formula that assures that each district spends at least $4,600 per student per year. Small school districts are allotted extra money to cover expenses.

Upon graduation, high school seniors have a number of choices for higher education within the Rushmore Region.
